DESCRIPTION
Excellent white sand beaches and a superb lagoon. A superb house reef makes Vilamendhoo an excellent choice for keen snorkellers and divers.
Vilamendhoo Island Resort is approximately 900 meters in length and 300 meters in breadth as its widest point, located in southern part of Ari Atoll, Republic of Maldives. The distance from the airport is 82 kilometers and it takes only 25 minutes to reach the resort by sea plane. The island is surrounded by white sandy beach and a crystal clear water lagoon, which suits best for snorkeling. The island has a beautiful sandbank at the west end of the island
LOCATION
Ari Atoll - 30 minutes by seaplane.
ACCOMMODATION -154 hotel rooms.
Standard rooms consist of double or twin beds, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, fridge, mini-bar and terrace. They are located in small blocks with garden views.
Superior rooms are semi detached units facing the beach.

DINING
Buffet-style restaurant, bar, coffee shop, beach barbecue every Sunday. Entertainment consists of discos and occasional live music and Maldivian shows.
FACILITIES
The resort has a gym, tennis court, volleyball, snooker table and table tennis. The water-sports centre include snorkelling, windsurfing, water-skiing canoeing and catamarans. The resort also has a CMAS approved dive school. Day and night fishing excursions and available.

The Werner Lau Dive School has access to some of the best sites in the Ari Atoll, renowned for whale sharks and offers a well-equipped workshop. There are around 40 dive sites nearby. Divers with less than 40 logged dives must be accompanied by an instructor at a charge of $4 per dive.
Equipment Rental: A wide range of Scubapro equipment available.
Dive Courses: PADI up to Dive Master and CMAS up to Gold.
Dive Sites/Types: House reef with air-tank shuttle service to entry point, Broken Rock (canyon dive) nearby, Dhigurah Arches (drop off with wreck) nearby. Night dives on house reef available.
